Jasmin-Nicole is a Ghanaian Canadian interdisciplinary artist and art educator specializing in painting, drawing, relief printmaking, fibre art, and social practice. Her work includes figurative art, abstraction, and sacred African braiding traditions that explore themes of mythology, community, ancestral memories, spirituality, Black womanhood, nature, and dreamscapes.
During her creative pursuits, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design University and a Master of Arts in Art Education from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. Her work has been exhibited at various galleries including the Cache Studio and Art Gallery & Tap Art Space in Montreal, QC (2022), the Toronto Public Library for the Parkdale Art Window Project with Gallery 1313 (2020), and TriSisters Art House in St. Jacobs, ON (2024). Jasmin-Nicole has created public art for the CreateSpace Public Art Residency and the Light House Arts Centre Abstract Murals Initiative in Halifax, NS (2023).
She is the recipient of several awards and grants, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Canada Graduate Scholarship- Master’s program (2023), the Arts Grants Fund (2024), and the City of Waterloo Artists in Neighbourhoods grant (2025).
